December Newsletter Bonjour les parents, December already! Where did the time go?! Thank you again for your donations and support toward all the classroom and school charity initiatives. Your kindness and generosity are much appreciated. Here’s what’s in store for the month: Mathématiques : We will continue with number sense, meaning mental math skills and strategies in addition and subtraction. It is essential that the children understand whole number concepts, place value and basic strategies in order to move on to bigger and more complicated mathematical equations and concepts. A child who grasps “friends that make ten/friendly numbers”, doubles and the meaning of a number will have an easier time transferring that information to bigger numbers and mathematical sentences.
