May Newsletter

May Newsletter Bonjour! I hope you are all doing well and that you've been able to find some balance in your lives!  Thank you for doing a great job with your children via SEESAW and of course with all of the extra things you've been doing. For May, I will continue to post on SEESAW like I have been in March and April and follow the same type of routines. Our main topics will be DRAGONS!  This will be an integrated project with math, FLA and ELA.  I would've been doing my dragon unit at school and many of the children were super excited about doing it so I wanted to go head with it, even if it's done virtually! I will also teach double digit addition with regrouping this month.  This will be a new concept for some students but I believe we can still accomplish this online!  I will be following the same type of format that the students did with the double digit addition without regrouping during the month of April. TEAMS meeting will co...

April Newsletter

Bonjour! I hope that you are all doing well and even with these times of heightened emotions, challenges and routine changes, you've had times of comfort, love and relaxation. This "April Newsletter" will definitely be different from my others! Since we are using the SEESAW format, I will be continuing to send out an assignment in the mornings and then again in the afternoons Monday to Thursdays (unless the activity takes longer).  Fridays, will be simply an activity suggestion and a day to play "catch up/finish up tasks" .  I will also continue with as much "routine" as virtually possible from what we would be doing in class so that the children can do as much as possible independently.  Of course, these parameters may change as the weeks go on as we follow the province's, superintendents' and administrators' directions. Focuses this month: - Double digit addition to 100.                         ...
