MARCH
NEWSLETTER
Bonjour
Parents,
The
shortest, yet very busy month, has come to an end! We had many class activities
during the month that kept us very busy.
The children worked really hard and had a great time with all the
festivities.
Thank
you to the volunteers who provided snack for our V-day party and helped out
with in class activities.
Here’s
what’s in store for this month…
E.L.A. – We will
continue with our unit on Indigenous Legends.
We will continue reading legends, talking about the components of a
legend and then it’ll be the children’s turn to write a legend on their own. We will continue with regular class routines.

Sciences
Humaines
– We will be continuing with “Le Peuple Cris”. We made a mural of what a Cree camp might’ve
looked like in 1867. In the end, we will
be making dioramas accompanied with our written research. As an extra activity, we will make class
totem poles.
Sciences de la nature - We will be
starting les solides, les liquides et les gazes once we have finished learning
about the Cree nation. This unit will
include an inquiry project that we will be working with Mme Beauregard (teacher librarian) as well.
Français – We will be starting Reader’s
Theatre in French. Once it’s completed, we will present them to our grade four
French Reading Buddies and I’ll record them to send out via e-mail. We will start “Show & Tell” and continue
with our classroom routines
